With all the horrible weather we’ve had already this year, you probably have driving in snow down to an art by now, but here’s a short list of a few tips of how to drive in snow just as a short refresher. It’s always good to occasionally look through a list of these tips to get a good idea of what we all can do to better keep ourselves and everyone else on the roads around Pittsfiled, North Adams, and Springfield as safe as possible during these harsh winter months.
Get Winter Tires – while the season may be over halfway through (we hope), skidding along the roads is no joke. Getting snow tires may help you grip the slick pavement better.
Drive Slowly – getting to work or practice on time is not a fair exchange for your safety and the safety of others on the road.
Give yourself plenty of time to stop – try to stop at least a full car’s length behind the car in front of you. This way, even if you do skid some, you have some room to give before you hit them.
Just follow these 3 tips for winter driving and hopefully it will keep you safe until spring. In the meantime, check out our four-wheel-drive cars at Haddad Toyota to help ensure that you will stay safe on the snowy roads out there.
This past week at the Chicago Auto Show, Toyota debuted the 2016 Toyota Avalon. The 2016 Avalon refresh features an updated exterior making it appear sportier than ever, and an upgraded interior with new comfort and technology features that appeal to car buyers of all ages – from older buyers to the young business man who needs a sleek, new car to impress his colleagues and his boss.
The full-sized Avalon pulls out all the stops with its newly designed exterior which features new taillights and new chrome rear bumper finishes, and a wider front grille that creates the sportier stance Toyota’s been moving towards with its Corolla, and Camry. Add in the new vertical turn signals and optional LED daytime running lights on higher trim levels, and the Avalon’s sleek exterior becomes much more appealing to the young and young at heart alike.
Of course the changes don’t stop there. Once you step inside the new Toyota Avalon, you will experience Toyota’s Entune audio system that now comes standard with every trim level. This audio system includes a 7-inch touchscreen, USB port, Bluetooth technology, voice recognition, and more.
No matter what you’re looking for in your new full-sized car, the 2016 Toyota Avalon will deliver. While the 2016 Avalon won’t go on sale until later this year, you can stop by and check out the 2015 Avalon right here at Haddad Toyota.
With the Chicago Auto Show coming up, many are wondering what new vehicles manufacturers have left to show off after the Detroit Auto Show last month. Well, on February 12th when the show opens we will officially find out, but until then we are left with only a few teasers such as Toyota’s hints at a special edition Toyota Corolla.
This special edition Corolla promises to be even sportier than the Corolla already is. It will come with red interior accents, 17-inch wheels, a glossy black finish, our upgraded EnTune infotainment system, and a push button start to really get your motor running. While we aren’t sure about the rest of the details, we do know that the special edition Toyota Corolla will only be available in a select number of hues: Black Sand Pearl, Absolutely Red, and Super White. Only a select number of these special edition, sporty cars will be made, so if you want one, you better come by Haddad Toyota to put in your order today!

Every year, Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com releases their list for the Top 10 2015 Best Resale Value Awards and we are excited that this year the vehicle toping their list is none other than the 2015 Toyota Tacoma. While we love the Tacoma, and think it’s always a great buy, we are surprised that it would be ranked so high the year before a major redesign.
Kelley Blue Book looks at the vehicles’ predicted resale values after 5 years and after 3 years. Every vehicle on the top 10 list this year will maintain over half of its resale value after 5 years of ownership, but the 2015 Toyota Tacoma is predicted to retain much more.
After 3 years of ownership, the 2015 Tacoma is expected to maintain 74.9% of its value. This means that if you paid the starting MSRP of $20,765 this year, by 2018, your Tacoma would still be worth $15,552.99. After 5 years, so by 2020, your Tacoma would retain 60.4% of its value and be worth $12,542.06. This is really impressive considering that the average car normally retains only about 40% of its value after a five-year period. So, if you’re looking to make an investment into your future, why not stop by Haddad Toyota today to check out the all-new 2015 Toyota Tacoma, KBB.com’s winner of the 2015 Best Resale Value Award.
