Haddad Collision Center will be working with the Pittsfield Police Department and Safe Kids of Western MA to bring the car seat safety program to Berkshire County.
Mandi Summers, who coordinates the Safe Kids of Western MA program through Baystate Health in Springfield, said “We were able to help close to a dozen Berkshire County families with last year’s car seat safety check – I’m really happy Haddad Collision Center offered to do it again.
Haddad Collision Center Manager, Matt Clark, first got involved with this event last year, when he had questions about the safe installation of his granddaughter’s car seat
“I just wasn’t confident that I had done it correctly”. Matt went on to say “I figured if I was having trouble – and I’m in the business – other people might have the same trouble. I was happy to be able to coordinate a Car Seat Safety Check with Safe Kids of Western Massachusetts – this way every family can be sure their child’s safe when in their car.”
The Car Seat Safety Check will be held in the parking lot that Haddad Collision Center shares with Haddad Pre-Owned at 25 West Housatonic Street, Pittsfield MA, on Saturday April 12th from 10am-2pm. Volunteers from the Pittsfield Police Department, Safe Kids of Western MA and Haddad Collision Center will be on hand to inspect children’s car seats and ensure that they are installed correctly. In the event of rain, the Car Seat Safety Check will be held inside Haddad Collision Center. Families will need to bring:
The Muppets are at it again! Everyone’s favorite puppets starred alongside Terry Crews—from FOX’s award-winning comedy, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”—and the Toyota Highlander in a sixty-second Toyota Highlander Super Bowl Ad this past Sunday. The spot, titled “Joyride,” featured more than a dozen of the Muppet crew commandeering Crews’ Toyota Highlander and taking it for a spin in order to “unborify” his life. The results are predictably unpredictable, as well as hilarious.
“Our game-day spot shows how Toyota Highlander puts the ‘fun’ in function,” said Jack Hollis, vice president of Toyota Division Marketing at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “Toyota vehicles are built to last and can even endure the most boisterous Muppets, a former NFL player as well as a center console full of chickens.”
The Super Bowl spot will mark the beginning of an extensive cross-marketing campaign between the 2014 Highlander and the new Disney movie, “Muppets Most Wanted,” in theaters March 21.
We hope you kept your eyes peeled throughout the game’s commercial breaks for the world premiere of “Joyride.” If you didn’t you can still check out the video online and hit up @Toyota on Twitter with the hashtag #NoRoomForBoring to share your love for the Muppets, the Highlander, or both!
Central Berkshire County’s Toyota Dealer, Haddad Toyota, is hosting a BHS Blood Drive at their Pittsfield location at 130 Pittsfield-Lenox Road this week! Berkshire Health Systems is bringing their BHS Bloodmobile to our Route 7 Car Dealership Tuesday December 10th from 9am to 3pm. No appointment is necessary as walk ins are welcome! In addition to the knowledge that they’ve helped their Berkshire County neighbors, donors will receive snacks and their choice of a Beacon Cinemas movie pass or a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream.
Why donate at the BHS Bloodmobile? All of the blood collected will stay right here in Berkshire County and will be made available to emergency room patients at BMC and Fairview Hospital. In addition, it’s much less expensive to collect blood in the BHS Bloodmobile than by importing it from outside the county – helping to keep health costs down.
Be sure to drink plenty of liquids (coffee doesn’t count) and to eat before you donate blood. The Blood Mobile staff are friendly, quick and efficient and you should be in and out in no time – many donors donate during their lunch break!
Please come to the Berkshire County Blood Drive this Tuesday – and be sure to let your friends know by sharing our Facebook and Twitter posts. Thank You!
