The End of the Toyota Venza

The End of the Toyota Venza
The Toyota Venza will still be made for the US market until June of this year when production will cease.

Toyota just announced that the Toyota Venza, Toyota’s sporty wagon based on the Toyota Camry, will no longer be made. This decision comes after the Venza’s sales numbers have been declining in the last few years.

The Venza was introduced in 2008. In 2009, this sporty wagon had its best sales year ever, selling 54,410 models. Last year, however, only 29,991 Venzas were sold in the United States. To put this in perspective, this is about the number of Camrys that Toyota sells in a 30 day time span.

“After careful consideration, Toyota has decided to wind down production of the Venza at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky (TMMK). No jobs will be lost at TMMK as a result of this move,” said Rick Bourgoise, Toyota Midwest spokesman, in a statement to Cars.com.

If you want to drive this new model, you don’t have to worry yet about the end of the Toyota Venza. We still have plenty in stock for you to choose from. Just make your way over to Haddad Toyota to take a test drive of this crossover/wagon hybrid today before someone else decides to drive off in this endangered model.
