The 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited is a new addition to the RAV4 lineup this year.

2016 is a big year for the Toyota RAV4. Taking the step from traditional gasoline-powered SUV to a new hybrid variant option, the 2016 Toyota RAV4 is gearing up for the future.

For the 2016 model year, the RAV4 has introduced three new model trims: the SE, the XLE Hybrid, and the Limited hybrid. In total, six trim levels are available, also including gasoline XLE, SE, and gasoline Limited. This gas-electric powertrain offering is sure to make the 2016 RAV4 many new friends.

The SE trim, new this year, is a sporty exterior variant that gives the RAV4 more style. It’s hot look comes from new bumper and grille shapes, LED lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, SofTex seats, and a better infotainment display.

Inside, there are more USB ports, a new gauge cluster layout, and Homelink garage door operation on some trims.

However, the 2016 Toyota RAV4 updates aren’t limited to just flashy gadgets or appearances. A number of new safety improvements have been introduced, such as Bird’s Eye View parking capability to guide you in tight spaces. Other safety components in Toyota’s Safety Sense package include Pre-Collision Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Alert, Pedestrian Pre-Collision, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

Another Hybrid for Toyota – Introducing the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid!

The New York International Auto Show is upon us, and lots of exciting new things have been revealed, including the addition of an eighth hybrid vehicle to Toyota’s lineup – the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid!

According to a Toyota press release, the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid will be “targeted towards young adventure-seeking couples looking for a vehicle that provides utility, versatility, capability and excellent fuel efficiency.”

The RAV4 Hybrid will feature electronic all-wheel drive with intelligence (AWD-i) and an engine that delivers more horsepower and acceleration than the conventional gas model of the RAV4.

Along with the addition of a hybrid option, the conventional RAV4 will enjoy a refresh for the 2016 model year.

Some new features on the 2016 RAV4 will include a Bird’s Eye View Monitor, subscription to SiriusXM radio, a leather steering wheel, upgraded interior materials, and available touch-screen infotainment system.

The sporty and compact Toyota RAV4 is designed for adventure, and the new Hybrid option elevates it even further. We are beyond excited to get the 2016 RAV4 into our showroom! Stay tuned!

Next Generation Toyota Prius Draws From Racer

The next generation Toyota Prius will look to borrow fuel economy features from Toyota’s TS040 Hybrid Le Mans race car which just make might it the coolest hybrid around.

Want great gas mileage and an exciting ride? Well, the next generation Toyota Prius might just be the car you’re looking for. Due out in 2016, the next generation Toyota Prius will have parts that are currently being tested in its performance TS040 Hybrid Le Mans race car. Yes, a race car. While the President of the Toyota Motorsport GmbH, Yoshiaki Kinoshita has yet to release just what these parts are, we can’t help but be excited to think of the high-level performance capabilities that will be included in the next Prius.

Of course, these parts are probably the ones which are being used to improve fuel efficiency in the racer since the new FIA World Championship rules went into place which have put an emphasis on fuel economy in the racing segment. However, all of us here at Haddad Toyota figure that if these parts are good enough for the TS040 racer, they are good enough for us. At the New York Auto Show this week, you can check out the Fuel Cell Hydrogen-Powered Highlander and the new Prius Plug-In Hybrid (pictured).

Hybrid technology and efficiency enthusiasts ought to have at least one thing to get really excited about at the New York Auto Show.

Almost as though in celebration of Earth Day, the Big Apple will play host to the new Prius Plug-In Hybrid and Highlander fuel cell hydrogen vehicle (FCHV), which visitors will not only be able to watch but also ride in.
